A North Belfast takeaway has shared a heartfelt message to staff and customers after it announced it has been forced to close due to "ever growing prices".
Casabella Italian takeaway on the Antrim Road took to social media on Saturday to let customers know that they will no longer be trading. They thanked both their "amazing customers" and dedicated staff for the support over the years.
In a post on their Facebook page, Casabella said: "It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closure of Casabella. As everyone will be aware of the rising costs in food, gas and electric we are no longer able to continue in providing our great food.

"Over the past number of months it has became very difficult in sourcing stock and dealing with the ever growing price rises. And with a heavy heart we have had to pull the plug.
"We want to thank all our amazing customers for their support over the years and especially to our regulars. On a personal note I want to publicly thank our staff for their dedication and passion for the work they have done over the years.
"Thank you all so much".
The news comes after the head of the Northern Ireland Takeaway Association made a plea for support as numerous businesses have been forced to close due to increased costs over a short period of time.
The association, which represents the industry from fast food outlets to coffee shops, knows of over 20 closures across the region in recent days.
Speaking after a closure of a West Belfast bakery last week, they said: "Another takeaway/deli forced to close due to the tidal wave of business running costs.
"We have been informed of over 20 takeaways/cafes closures across Northern Ireland with the last week. Our elected MLA's and government must act now to help our industry or we face hundreds of store closures within the coming months."
