Essential resurfacing will take place on the A78 northbound on and off-slip roads at Newhouse Interchange south of Irvine.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking the works from 6am on Monday, April 24 until 6am on Saturday, April 29.
This scheme will benefit around 2,000 vehicles using these slip roads each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The work will be carried out using total closures of the on and off-slips as well as lane one of the A78 northbound carriageway, and a signed diversion will be in place. Road users are thanked for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.
Traffic intending to exit the A78 northbound will be diverted to continue to Warrix Interchange and will return on the southbound carriageway to exit at Newhouse Interchange.
Traffic intending to join the A78 northbound will join via the southbound carriageway at Newhouse Interchange to Meadowhead Roundabout to return on the northbound carriageway.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
