North Ayrshire Council nears completion of contract for new school

Council chiefs are homing in on signing a new deal for the construction of a new primary school.

And the delay in construction of Montgomerie Park Primary School and Early Years Centre will have no impact on other school rolls, education cabinet member Shaun Macaulay revealed on Wednesday.

The news emerged when Labour councillor Nairn McDonald tackled his SNP rival about the project at the full North Ayrshire Council meeting.
