Norman, the two-year-old dog looking for a fun-loving Manchester family

“Friendly, excitable and sweet” are the three words used by the team at Dogs Trust Manchester about two-year-old Norman , who is hoping to find a forever home.

The playful pup loves to be on the go and has bags of energy and loves to share. At just two years old, the Staffy-cross is typical of his breed, and is ‘never happier than when he’s on the go’, keeping his paws and brain busy.

The handsome pooch with his white face and brindle features, loves playing with his toys and enjoys a game of catch or tuggy, so is looking for human friends who will get as much enjoyment playing with him, as he will playing with them.

Dawn Bishop, Dogs Trust Manchester Manager, said: “Norman is just gorgeous. He will be an absolute delight to have as a pet.

"He is so friendly and fun loving. He has loved splashing around in our water compound during the sunny weather and would like a secure garden to burn off some of his energy in his new home.

“He loves to snuggle and will jump up if you don’t provide a knee quick enough for him to settle on and he will roll over for a tummy tickle too.”

As Norman is very excitable, the team recommend that he lives with children aged 12 and over. They added: “He hasn’t been socialised with other dogs too much so would prefer to be walked in quieter areas and he will need to be the only pet in the home.”

Another Staffy-cross looking for a home at the centre, despite Manchester Evening News appealing for potential adopters, is Freddie. The four-year-old was found wandering the streets during the pandemic, and 18 months on, he’s still homeless. Pretty lady, Peanut, who we featured back in June , is also still awaiting a successful application.
