Carol Vorderman has admitted she is non-monogamous and is involved in multiple relationships.
The 61 year-old even said that she has several "special friends", one of whom is an astronaut who rang her from space.
The Welsh media personality told ITV This Morning that choosing not to be tied down to one partner is liberating and that she has "never felt freer", reports Wales Online.
While hosting a a new match-making section on the show with presenter Gyles Brandreth, Carol explained: "Our mothers told us that we should marry when we were still 18 or 19 or 20, so we grew up with that convention that you should find one partner for life. My view is not quite like that."
"Half of first marriages end in divorce, and nearly three quarters of second marriages end in divorce," she said. "So I prefer to live my life in chapters."
"I live my life in chapters...and this chapter since I was about 50. So for the last decade or so, I've lived a life which is much freer," she said. "I've never felt freer. So I have ignored the looking for one person and I have a number of what I've called 'special friends'."
"You know, I don't really want to marry again. I don't really want to live with a man again. Have to look after him all the time.
"But this is a time to break this nonsense taboo, which is a person should only be looking for one other person that satisfies everything in their life. That's hell."
She continued: "They don't know each other, but they know about it. It's a very honest relationship. One of them has gone on for many more years than my marriage.
"Yeah, it's over 10 years. Another is seven. He's an astronaut. He rang me from the space station."
