Noel Gallagher teased Oasis reunion with cryptic hint suggesting Liam reconciliation

Noel Gallagher appears to have sparked a frenzy with some suggesting his resurfaced comments hinted towards an Oasis reunion.

The rockstar said he feels as though he has to perform tracks from his former band while on the stage as a solo artist and his comments have sent fans into a meltdown.

While there have been rumours over the years that Oasis who split in 2009 may be reforming, the relationship between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher has been strained for some time.

Liam and Noel haven't spoken since their fallout in 2009 although Liam did offer an olive branch with a public tweet on Noel's 50th birthday.

In the 2021 documentary, Out Of The Now, recorded during lockdown, Noel said: "The time I think about Oasis is when I'm writing out a set-list for a gig, and I look at it, and it's 21 songs (of mine), and there's only Don't Look Back In Anger (from Oasis) on it.

"And I think, yeah, I might want to throw a few more on, you know?"

He went on to say: "(I ask) 'How much are the tickets?' F*****g hell! I better throw Half The World Away in.

"Really? (The tickets are that much?) Better throw Wonderwall in."

Adding fuel to the fire, Noel went on to say: "I don't have any problem reconciling with the past – Oasis was the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life to me, ever and ever will be.

"You're on stage in those mega, mega gigs that we did and seeing it and, you know, we started from a council estate in south Manchester.

"To get that big is the most incredible thing ever – the fact that group is embedded in people's heads is an amazing, amazing thing."

His comments had fans in a frenzy, with one saying: "He clearly knows people want more Oasis in their lives if he adds in their songs to his solo shows so he doesn't feel like he's not giving us value for money."

"He has nothing but good to say here about the band and doesn't diss Liam once! They've clearly been talking," commented a second.

But while speaking to MOJO Magazine about his forthcoming Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album, Council Skies, he responded "no" when asked whether the group could reunite.

Speaking previously on an Oasis reunion, Noel told Radio X: "Look it's the done thing now isn’t it, is to kind of everybody's getting back together, and Blur are playing Wembley stadium, everyone’s getting back together.

"I will say, and I've said it a thousand times if Oasis hadn't reached their potential, and there was something left to do, it would be different.

"But I just don't see what the point would be, it would make a load of money, I've got a load of money, do some monumental… I've already done them, it's just not something that appeals to me, now that's not saying in 10 years' time it won't appeal to me."
