Noel Gallagher and his wife of 22 years Sara Macdonald are divorcing, a spokesperson for the Oasis legend has confirmed.
In a statement, the representative said the pair will 'continue to look after their children, who remain their priority'. The couple share two sons together - 15-year-old Donovan and 12-year-old Sonny.
Musician Noel, 55, and publicist Sara, 51, reportedly first met at a club in Ibiza in 2000. Noel wrote 2008's Waiting for the Rapture about their encounter.

Noel and Sara's first proper date was at The Lanesborough Hotel. 11 years later, they pair tied the knot in a private ceremony at a hotel in New Forest National Park, where close friend Russell Brand was best man.
There was an ode to Sara's Scottish heritage with bagpipes at the elegant ceremony and Noel's brother and fellow Oasis star Liam also attended. Sara and Noel lived together in Hampshire, welcoming Donovan in 2007 and Sonny three years later.
Noel and Meg Mathews
Noel met his first wife, Meg, now 56, in 1994. They met via Meg's roommate, presenter Rebecca de Ruvo.
Three years later, Noel and Meg, a former music executive and part of the Primrose Hill Set, with the likes of Kate Moss among her best friends, got married in Las Vegas. In 2000, the pair welcomed a daughter, Anais Gallagher.
In 2001, the pair divorced.
Girlfriends
At the tender age of 18, Noel got engaged to his girlfriend Diane. However they eventually broke up, having never married.
At the age of 21, he moved in with girlfriend Louise Jones who was the muse behind Oasis' 1994 hit Slide Away. They had an on-off relationship and eventually went their separate ways in 1994.
