Famous rock star Noel Gallagher has booked to play at an area near Bristol as part of a UK tour this year, it has been announced. The former Oasis songwriter will be playing with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in Cardiff later this year, just an hour's drive away from Bristol.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is the solo moniker of former Oasis guitarist and singer, forming the new rock band in 2010, a year after Oasis split up. Liam Gallagher continued making music under the name Beady Eye with some of the former Oasis members until 2014 and now has his own solo career. The brothers have one of the most well-known, enduring feuds in recent music history.
Noel's new tour starts in Hull on August 30 although most of the dates will run throughout December finishing in Liverpool just before Christmas on December 21, 2023. The band will appear at Cardiff International Arena on December 17.

The star played with his band in the city at the opening night of Bristol Sounds last summer before heading down to Glastonbury to play a top slot on the Pyramid Stage. His headline Bristol show, rated five stars by BristolLive, was met with a chorus of boos when the rocker jokily brought up the subject of football. He was also spotted in Bristol recently to watch Manchester City play Bristol City in the FA Cup.
News of the tour follows the release of ‘Dead To The World’, a new track taken from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ fourth studio album Council Skies, due for release on June 2 through Sour Mash Records. The singer described this latest single as his favourite song on the album.
“It has this film noir vibe. It’s not like anything else I’ve ever done before. It’s very melancholic, but I like that. I’m a Gemini – I’m as up as I am down, and the trick is to meet somewhere in the middle and turn that into music," the 55-year-old musician said.
Tickets will be available for special pre-sale on Wednesday (March 29) for fans who pre-order the forthcoming new album Council Skies, via the official Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds store with the general ticket sale starting from 9AM BST on Friday, March 31.
The new arena dates follow an already busy summer schedule for the band playing a string of outdoor venues across the country, including Taunton's Vivary Park and a huge homecoming show at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park in August. The High Flying Birds have also confirmed a 26-date USA tour, co-headlining with US rockers Garbage.
