Noel Gallagher has revealed an amusing coming together with Sir Rod Stewart during a clash between his beloved Manchester City and Celtic.
It was back in the Brendan Rodgers era when the Hoops last faced off against the current English Premier League champions, with a Champions League game to remember being played beneath the Parkhead lights. An enthralling 3-3 draw played out in 2016 and while on the park matters were keeping everyone's eyes glued to the pitch, Gallagher had to watch out for what Scottish music icon Stewart was up to.

Speaking with PubTalk, the former Oasis songwriter recalled his trip to Glasgow's east-end with former Scotland international and diehard Celtic fan Alan Brazil, and that journey was made memorable by Stewart's jacket antics. There were accusations of jacket stealing aplenty, but the 55-year-old took it in good spirits. He said: "I know Alan loves Rod. The last time I saw him is when City played Celtic in the Champions League at Celtic Park.
"Rod lost his jacket in the chairman's lounge and accused me in front of a load of people. He was at the wind-up but he was like 'have you got my jacket.' I was like 'Is it a three-quarter length chinchilla?' Top man is Rod."
The Hoops have been back in the Champions League this year but it hasn't gone to plan for them and boss Ange Postecoglou.
They are out of Group F after four games, two defeats to RB Leipzig sealing their fate ahead of final matches against Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid.
