The UFC handed out multiple post-fight bonuses after Saturday’s card, awarding every fighter who recorded a finish.
After Noche UFC, five fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances in Las Vegas. Check out the winners below.
'Performance of the Night': Charlie Campbell
Charlie Campbell recorded the first finish of Noche UFC by stopping Alex Reyes by TKO in the first round. Campbell showed off powerful, accurate strikes that were too much for Reyes to handle. During his post-fight interview, he used one of The Rock’s catchphrases on Daniel Cormier, catching the UFC Hall of Famer off guard with his humor. For his handiwork, and perhaps his mic work, he takes home an extra $50,000 in his UFC debut.
'Performance of the Night': Roman Kopylov
Roman Kopylov continued to prove why he’s one to watch in the middleweight division. On the prelims of Noche UFC, Kopylov stopped Josh Fremd with a liver shot in the second round, causing him to fold to the canvas. The result extended Kopylov’s winning streak to four, while also pocketing the second bonus of his current victorious run.
'Performance of the Night': Loopy Godinez
UFC strawweight Loopy Godinez turned in a near-flawless performance against Elise Reed. When Godinez wasn’t lighting up Reed on the feet with sharp punches in fast combinations, she was attempting various submissions on the mat. Eventually in Round 2, Reed tapped from a rear-naked choke, marking Godinez a winner of three straight fights. Godinez’s performance earned her the first $50,000 bonus of her nine-fight UFC tenure.
'Performance of the Night': Daniel Zellhuber
Daniel Zellhuber had to weather an early storm from Christos Giagos, but found a way to end the fight in Round 2. Giagos rocked Zellhuber with a hard punch in the opening round, causing a scary moment for the Mexican lightweight. Zellhuber was able to gather his wits and see Round 2, where he would sneakily latch on to an anaconda choke when Giagos shot for a takedown to force a tap. The Dana White’s Contender Series vet takes home his first Performance of the Night bonus for the finish.
'Performance of the Night': Raul Rosas Jr.
Raul Rosas Jr. needed less than a minute to erase the sting of his first professional loss. On the main card of Noche UFC, Rosas Jr. took out Terrance Mitchell by TKO in just 54 seconds after landing a stiffening left hand. Both of Rosas Jr.’s victories in his young UFC career have come by first-round finish, and both have earned Performance of the Night bonuses.
