Allan Saint-Maximin trained well during Newcastle United's stay in Dubai and is back in contention to start in the Premier League again. The 25-year-old has been in and out of the side under Howe in the last few weeks due to a knock followed by an illness, but he is getting back up to speed. Saint-Maximin has five goals and three assists to his name so far this season.
When asked about Saint-Maximin's chances at Spurs, Howe said: "Mentally he's very good, he trained really well in the period we had away. If my memory is right he had a groin injury then a bad illness.

"Whenever a player has that time away it is very difficult to get them up to speed straight away. So this break has been very good for him. He has trained very well and we are excited to see him back."
Saint-Maximin tweeted, after the 1-0 defeat at Everton, that some people have short memories after enduring some criticism. But Howe remains a huge fan he said: "I am just looking for the best Maxi which is one when he is at his best there is nobody like him.
"We need him to physically be able to deliver that and that's what we have been working hard with him on. I have loved working with him. I think if you scrape everything away he's a great lad, wants to do well and wants to achieve. We want to try to help him do that, he's such an important player."
