Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche held his first press conference after President Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi last week and said he has no idea why Bondi was fired. But he said he would love to be the permanent Attorney General if the president decides; it would be an honor, he said. Pam Bondi was supposed to be in her position for the transition period but the press conference by Todd Blanche hinted that Bondi probably is already on her way out -- unceremoniously.
“Nobody has any idea why the attorney general is no longer the attorney general and I’m the acting attorney general, except for President Trump,” Blanche said.
