'No way!' - Darren Bent laughs off Mohamed Salah claim after new Liverpool contract

Darren Bent is backing Mohamed Salah to continue scoring 20-plus goals a season for Liverpool after signing a new contract to stay at the club.

Salah finished the 2021/22 Premier League season as the joint leading marksman on 23 goals. It was the third time that he has won the Golden Boot award and in every one of his five seasons so far on Merseyside, he has scored more than 20 goals, including an astonishing 44 times in his debut campaign.

But despite only finding the net four times since late February and recently turning 30, former Premier League striker Bent has rubbished claims that Liverpool's star man is past his best and backed him to carry on where he left off next season.
