No transgender prisoners with history of violence against women to be placed in female prisons in Scotland

Transgender prisoners with a history of violence against women will not be placed in female prisons, Scotland's Justice Secretary has confirmed.

It comes as an 'urgent review' into the movement of trans prisoners was announced by the country's Justice Secretary, Keith Brown announced.

Mr Brown announced the measures on Sunday, after MSPs voiced anger at reports that trans prisoner Tiffany Scott's request to move to the women's estate had been agreed, the PA news agency reports.
