No trains from Liverpool Central station for three days

Merseyrail Hunts Cross

All Northern line services from Liverpool Central station will be shut down next month as Merseyrail prepares for the launch of a new fleet of trains.

Passengers are advised to plan ahead as Northern services will be temporarily stopped, along with all services on the Hunts Cross line, from Sunday, November 6, until Wednesday, November 9.

This is to allow essential adjustments to be carried out on the tracks and line side equipment to ensure the new trains, in an eight-car formation, will be able to serve the station.
