No members of the Royal Family have arranged a 'sit down' meeting with Prince Harry or Meghan Markle since the release of his bombshell memoir, it is claimed.
While promoting his book Spare back in January, the Duke of Sussex issued a plea to his estranged father and family to get in touch before the Coronation so he could talk about his past experiences within The Firm.
During an interview with Tom Bradby on ITV, Harry was asked if he will come to King Charles' ceremony and replied: "There's a lot that can happen between now and then.
"But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.
"There's a lot to be discussed and I really hope... that they are willing to sit down and talk about it, because there's a lot that's happened in six years."
But royal sources speaking to the Daily Mail have reportedly said that neither Charles nor any other senior members of the family have taken him up on the offer, with no such meeting taking place.
It comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed Prince Harry will be at Westminster Abbey to see King Charles crowned at his Coronation, while Meghan Markle opted to remain at home.
Buckingham Palace said it is pleased to announce that Harry will be there on May 6 for the historic event but Meghan will stay in California with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry, who laid bare his troubled relationship with the royal family in his controversial Netflix documentary and autobiography Spare, will be alongside other family members including his estranged brother Prince William and wife Kate.
The announcement ended months of speculation about whether or not the couple would be at the Coronation, which falls on the same day as Archie's fourth birthday.
The Palace said in a statement: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.
"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."
Sources close to the planning to the coronation have told how Harry went through weeks of dialogue with Buckingham Palace aides after signalling his intention to travel to the UK.
The Duke is understood to have voiced concerns over his security situation and the kind of reception he would recieve from his family were he to come to the May 6 event.
Insiders had already suggested Meghan would skip the historic ceremony after she was entirely absent from her husband’s book tour, and was believed to be upset about their children’s exclusion from the Coronation procession.
