No Return on ITV: What it's about, filming locations, cast and where you have seen them before

We're only a little over a month into the new year and the new TV drama have been arriving on-screen thick and fast.

And ITV's latest offering starts tonight.

Sheridan Smith is set to lead the cast in No Return which begins on Monday night at 9pm on ITV.

The series is made up of four episodes which will continue to air weekly on a Monday.

However, those who don't want to wait will all be able to watch the whole thing on the ITV Hub and BritBox after the first episode airs.

ITV's synopsis of No Return reads: "Their holiday is a chance to unwind and for Kathy and Martin to spend some much needed time together.

"Until unsuspecting Noah accepts a seemingly innocent invitation to a beach party from a fellow holidaymaker, Rosie, who is staying at the same hotel. Suddenly Kathy and Martin’s world spectacularly falls apart when they are left desperately fighting for their son’s freedom against extremely challenging circumstances.

"An arrest, an expensive and alien legal system, looming media coverage and resistance from fellow holidaymakers to come to their aid leaves the distraught parents fighting for Noah’s freedom when ironically he should be at school sitting his latest exams."

As already mentioned, BAFTA award-winning actress Sheridan Smith OBE leads ITV’s "gripping and complex" new drama.

The actress, who has starred in Cilla, Mrs Biggs, and The C Word to name just a few, will portray mother Kathy Powell.

Also joining the cast is Olivier award-winning actor Michael Jibson who plays Martin, Kathy’s husband and father to Noah.

Viewers may recognise Michael form ITV's Quiz and Honour, and the recent BBC drama Four Lives.

Louis Ashbourne plays Noah (ITV)

Playing 16-year-old Noah is Louis Ashbourne Serkis who is best known for his role as Alex in the 2019 fantasy adventure film The Kid Who Would Be King.

Meanwhile, Lily Sutcliffe plays Kathy and Martin's daughter, and Noah's sister, Jessica, in her first major TV role.

Also joining the cast are Sherlock's Eurus Holmes star Siân Brooke who plays Kathy’s sister Megan, Stath Lets Flats and Sliced's David Mumeni, starring as Megan's husband Steve, and House of Saddam's Philip Arditti as Noah’s legal representative Rico Karvalci.
