Nottingham Forest fans have said that Everton’s first half display against Brighton has put more pressure on a crucial home game against Southampton.
The Toffees raced into a 3-0 lead against Brighton at the Amex Stadium in the 5.30pm kick off. Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring in the first and 29th minute, before Dwight McNeil’s shot deflected in off of Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele in the 35th minute.
If the result stays the same, it means that Everton climb above Forest and Leicester City in the Premier League table, leaving the Reds in 19th place ahead of their game against Southampton at the City Ground (8pm kick off).

Forest were boosted earlier in the day when fellow relegation rivals Leicester fell to a 5-3 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage. That result means that a win or draw against Southampton will move the reds above Leicester in the table in what is a tight race to stay in the division at the end of the season.
As the goals for Everton flew in, Forest fans took to social media to give their thoughts with one eye on tonight’s game and the importance it could have in the race to stay in the Premier League.
