‘No president should mock Islam’: Tucker Carlson slams Trump, tells him ‘you are not God’

Tucker Carlson is officially the latest MAGA cheerleader to have fallen out with Donald Trump. The former Fox News host was once one of Trump’s most influential supporters, repeatedly visiting him in the White House, and was considered someone the president “definitely listens to”.

However, like many who supported Trump because of his “America First” policies, Carlson has been horrified at the broken promise of “no new wars”, and personally met with Trump to try and convince him not to attack Iran.

Obviously, that failed, with Carlson going on to describe the war as “absolutely disgusting and evil“. Trump didn’t take that lying down, sayign that “Tucker has lost his way,” that “he’s not MAGA,” and that Carlson isn’t “America First” or even smart enough to understand it.

Now, in the wake of one of Trump’s all-time craziest posts, Carlson has finally had enough. On April 5, Trump stumbled onto Truth Social and vomited this insane nonsense up:

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F–kin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”

I don’t think any of us had Trump praising Allah on Easter Sunday on our bingo cards. Anyway, Carlson has now struck back, scolding Trump for acting as if he were God and slamming him for mocking Islam. On The Tucker Carlson Show, he didn’t hold back, saying:

“The message in our Bible, which is ‘you are NOT God’ and only if you think you are, do you talk this way. But it’s not just mockery of Islam. And no president should mock Islam. That’s not your job. This is not a theocracy. We do not go to war with other theocracies to find out which theocracy is more effective.”

Tucker, welcome to the resistance

Carlson is also arguing that Trump has stabbed Christians in the back and that he actively works against Biblical teachings. He notes that Trump “did not put his hand on the Bible” when he was being sworn in and says this: “should have been maybe a clue that we need to pause and think about: what is this?” That suggests he knows it is real and you’re rejecting it intentionally. You know what you’re doing, and you’re doing it anyway.”

Anyone who genuinely believes Trump is a Christian is, objectively, a moron. The most amusing irony in this whole affair is the continued embracing of him by Evangelical Christians. That they would put into power and praise a man who violates each of the seven deadly sins every day, who has probably broken most of the Ten Commandments, and who clearly and patently doesn’t believe in God, is a really dark twist in American history.

Well, maybe saying he doesn’t believe in God is going too far. Trump, deep down, believes he is God, the center of the universe, and the fulcrum around which reality bends. As far as he’s concerned, reality will wink out of his existence after he breathes his final breath. The only problem is that it won’t, and we’ll be left picking up the pieces in the shattered world he leaves behind.
