As much as many of us might try to fight off the sands of time, the reality is that ageing is inevitable, especially when you have plenty of stress to contend with. One hardworking woman claims people will often get a bit mixed up when it comes to guessing her age, with some believing her to look '20 and 40' at the same time.
Sinéad, who runs Manchester-based indie jewellery boutique July Child, claims she would likely still be mistaken for an 18-year-old who needs to carry their ID in bars had she not had the additional pressures of running her own business for ten years.
Taking to TikTok, where she goes by the username @julychildjewellery, Sinéad responded to a comment left by someone on one of her previous vids, which read, 'she looks 40 and 20 together.' In the caption of her vid, Sinead dryly thanked the commenter for offering their thoughts on the matter.
Addressing the remark in the video, Sinéad told her followers: "This is what 10 years of business does to you. So genetically, I look like an 18-year-old that needs to be ID'd at bars but then when you run your own business, it makes you look about 70.”
One person declared Sinéad looked about 26, while another individual enquired about her actual age, which she has yet to confirm at the time of writing.
It comes after a mum and daughter claimed their own family often gets them confused due to their similar appearance, despite there being a 34-year age gap between them.
Daughter Liberty, 20, claimed even her own dad gets her and her mum Ameena Bunney, 54, mixed up on occasion.
According to Liberty: "People in shops have told us how alike we look over the years, as well as other family members and friends who often comment on the resemblance.
"She's honestly just as beautiful on the inside, as well as the outside and If I could be half the woman she is, I would be happy."
