No-nonsense personal trainer 'inspires wheelchair users to get up' and workout at gym

A no-nonsense personal trainer who claims he inspires disabled people to get out of their wheelchairs provides gym sessions for free - saying it's an honour to change their lives. Javeno Mclean, from Manchester, calls himself an 'exercise specialist' and has been helping disabled and elderly people fall in love with exercise for 21 years.

The 37-year-old trains more than 20 people with disabilities each week, refusing to take a penny from them as he 'makes money elsewhere'. The dad-of-two is now sharing videos of his inspirational coaching sessions to his 82,000-strong TikTok following where they've gone viral.

Footage shows the exercise specialist encouraging clients with cerebral palsy to push themselves physically and achieve things they may not have thought possible. In one video, Joshua Coy, 26, can be seen crawling across gym mats, with weights tied to his waist, as he perseveres to reach a cone that Javeno keeps moving further away from him.
