‘No free Covid tests means exam halls could be coronavirus hotspots’

Teenagers with coronavirus risk spreading it in exam halls this summer because of the lack of free Covidtests, school leaders warned on Friday.

GCSE and A-level students with symptoms are unlikely to be able to check whether they are Covid-positive and could transmit the virus to other pupils and exam invigilators, teachers said as they called for free tests to be reintroduced during exam season.
