'No end in sight' as Arnold Post Office remains closed amid relocation

An Arnold Post Office has had to remain closed due to delays in its relocation to the town centre. A statement has been released explaining the closure.

The Post Office, which is relocating from 2 Worrall Avenue to the new Arnold Market Place (AMP) development, was supposed to open this week. But a Post Office spokesperson said: “Arnold Post Office has needed to relocate from its Worrall Avenue location due to the planned redevelopment of the area.

"The branch is ready to open. However, the building needs to be formally handed over to the Postmaster. This is taking longer than planned."
