Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were in full agreement when choosing Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker in their Team of the Year for 2022.
Alisson has been among Liverpool's best players in a year that saw them lift the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. The Brazilian was the only Reds player chosen in the team.
Despite Liverpool's poor form this season, Alisson was labelled as the "best in the world" by Carragher and Neville after showing elite levels of consitency.

Choosing from the FIFA 23 players nominated for Team of the Year, former Manchester United defender Neville told Sky Sports: “Yes, Alisson. Obviously, his performances for Liverpool – I think he’s been the best in the world.
“I think the World Cup might have just shed a little bit of doubt on that, if people had any doubt and wanted to pick another."
Carragher added: “Yeah, I’m exactly the same and want to reiterate what Gary’s just mentioned."
Virgil van Dijk, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo were also among the nominees for the team.
