Plans to introduce communal bins in some areas of Sefton could be scrapped next week.
Residents in south Sefton were recently consulted over whether they were happy to have communal bins or individual wheeled bins to replace existing weekly kerbside black bag collections.
Sefton Council said 8000 properties in South Sefton currently served by kerbside sack collections were suitable for some form of wheeled bin instead.
