No. 4 UConn falls to Marquette, 59-52, loses back-to-back games for first time since 1993

The streak is over.

With its 59-52 loss at Marquette on Wednesday night in Milwaukee, the UConn women’s basketball team dropped back-to-back games for the first time since March 1993.

The No. 4 Huskies suffered an 81-77 defeat at the hands of No. 1 South Carolina Sunday. The program had been 74-0 following losses dating back to 1993, but the Huskies couldn’t hold on. The streak ended at 1,083 games.
