NEW DELHI: Indian boxers continued to dominate at home as Nitu Ganghas, Preeti and Manju Bamboriya made it to the pre-quarters after registering contrasting wins at the Women's World Championships on Saturday.
CWG gold medallist Nitu Ganghas (48kg), who lost in the quarter-final during the last edition, started off her campaign in style as she posted a RSC (referee stopped contest) win over Doyeon Kang of Korea, while Preeti (54kg) eked out a 4-3 split decision victory against Romania's Lacramioara Perijoc to register her second win of the tournament.
