As it turns out, the Frontier Pro is no longer a China-only curiosity. Originally unveiled at Auto Shanghai in April 2025, the electrified pickup is now going (kinda) global, although Nissan is giving it a different name in some markets. Also known as the Navara Pro, the midsize truck designed and built in China heads to export markets in many parts of the world.
Mexico will be the first market outside China to pick up the workhorse, with sales kicking off this month. It starts at 899,900 pesos, which works out to around $50,000 at current exchange rates. It combines a 1.5-liter gas engine with an electric motor for a total system output of 350 horsepower and 447 pound-feet (660 Newton-meters) of torque. Between the gas tank and the 20-kWh battery pack, it has a driving range of 600 miles (966 kilometers), with 47 miles (75 kilometers) covered in electric mode.
