Nintendo has once again pulled back the curtain on exactly which games have sold the most across its two most recent consoles.
The company's latest financial report lays out fresh sales figures for both the original Switch and its newer successor, confirming which titles continue to dominate the charts and revealing one new entry that has finally crossed a notable milestone.

Nintendo Switch 2's Best-Selling Titles
The Nintendo Switch 2 bestsellers list looks a little different given how recently the console launched, though its top three titles have also held their positions for a while now.
Nintendo has officially confirmed the top six best-selling games on the platform as of the end of June 2026.
- " Mario Kart World " — 15.39 million copies sold
- " Donkey Kong Bananza " — 4.78 million copies sold
- " Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition " — 3.99 million copies sold
- " Pokemon Pokopia " — 3.68 million copies sold
- " Kirby Air Riders " — 1.90 million copies sold
- " Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition " — 1.15 million copies sold
'Mario Kart' Rules Both Switch Generations
One clear pattern stands out across both console generations, and that is the dominance of the "Mario Kart" franchise.
"Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" remains untouchable on the original Switch, while "Mario Kart World" has done the same on Switch 2 since launch. Both games have held onto the top spot through every financial report so far, showing just how consistently the franchise performs no matter which hardware it lands on.
The "Pokemon" franchise shows a similar pattern of strength across both platforms, even if it hasn't quite reached "Mario Kart" numbers.
"Pokemon Scarlet & Violet" and "Pokemon Sword & Shield" sit comfortably in the middle of the Switch 1 list, while "Pokemon Legends: Z-A" and "Pokemon Pokopia" occupy the third and fourth spots on Switch 2, proving the series continues to pull strong numbers generation after generation.
Nintendo's 1st-Party Titles Still Perform Well
This latest report also marks the first time "Super Mario Party Jamboree" has appeared on the Switch 2 bestsellers list, officially crossing the one-million-unit mark.
Its appearance suggests that no other first-party Switch 2 title outside the current list has reached similar numbers yet, meaning games like "Metroid Prime 4," "Mario Tennis Fever," and "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment" likely haven't crossed the one million sales threshold either.
Even so, the presence of six first-party titles on a list covering a console still in its early years says a lot about how reliably Nintendo's internal lineup continues to perform. With more exclusives expected to release in the coming months, the current rankings are likely to keep shifting as the Switch 2 library continues to grow.
