Nintendo Switch Year in Review 2023: How to view and share your highlights

The Nintendo Switch Year in Review 2023 is officially here to remind you of the games you spent the most time playing this year.

Although most consoles can show you the cumulative hours you’ve devoted to a game in your library, they don’t show you this info for a specific period.

That’s where year-end recaps come in, which also offer a more detailed breakdown of your stats across genres and even monthly play times. With PlayStation and Xbox having already released their annual reviews, now it’s the turn of Nintendo.

The Japanese gaming giant had another remarkable year thanks to a bumper crop of excellent exclusives. Highlights included the mischievously creative Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom; the return of Mario and the gang in the joyous Super Mario Bros. Wonder; and a surprise battle royale version of a classic racing game in F-Zero 99.

Did any of those make your list of top-played games? Or, were you one of the players that helped turn the viral Suika Game into one of the most Googled games of the year? It’s time to find out by checking out your Nintendo Year in Review 2023.

How to get your Nintendo Switch Year in Review 2023

Like most gaming recaps, Nintendo’s Year in Review is only available online, so don’t bother trying to find it on your Switch.

Instead, head to this website and log in with your Nintendo account if you aren’t already signed in.

Now, you should be able to access your stats. You can navigate through the data by either scrolling down or tapping the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top of the page to jump to a specific category.

The list includes first game played, total games and hours played, most played game, genres, and a month-by-month chart.

Further down the page, you’ll also get the option to choose your fave game from your top five to share with your friends.

How to share your Nintendo Year in Review

Speaking of which, you can find a trio of downloadable cards at the bottom of the review to show to your pals.

If you’re viewing the recap on a desktop, make sure to maximise your browser window so you can see the “share” button below each card.

Pressing it downloads an image file for you to share on social media or messaging apps.
