Nintendo snaps up Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1 Switch studio to aid "porting and developing," just in time for the Switch 2's full reveal

As talk of Nintendo's Switch successor ramps up, the House of Mario has snapped up the studio that ported Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1 to its beloved hybrid gaming platform.

As revealed on Nintendo's investor relations website, the company announced it had entered into an agreement with Embracer Group to acquire the outstanding shares of Shiver Entertainment, which has worked on Switch ports for Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat 1, and more.
