Nine-year-old 'Shane Williams' beats entire team as epic try leaves opponents in disbelief

Nine-year-old Welsh rugby player Caian Williams scored a Shane Williams-esque try which left opposition players in disbelief.

The stunning effort occurred in a game between Caian's Pontyclun and Valley Ravens.

The move starts out with speedster Cai taking control of a bouncing ball deep in his own half. He swivels and cuts a looping line towards the left flank, leaving two players in his wake.

A smart jink inside sees another player left in the dust, before the young man is swarmed by a whole host of black-shirted Ravens. He outpaces two players before stepping inside a third, somehow creating a gap for himself.

As soon as he makes it through that gap, there are another three players standing in the way of glory. A clever change in direction sees Caian open up a straight line between him and the whitewash, and he uses his electric pace to complete the score.

Cheers ring around the field for the young Welshman. As he disappears into the background among a sea of players, a lone Ravens player epitomises the effort, standing with his hands on his head in the foreground, in complete bewilderment. The try-scorer turns 10 on Wednesday.

Dad and coach Chris Williams said: "He's actually a footballer for Cambrian Academy, he doesn't get to train much for Pontyclun he just plays some weekends. His footwork is superb and being slight he's very difficult to get hold of. There's a few comments on the Facebook video, it's nice to read such positive comments about my own son but also as one of his coaches doubly so."
