Chelsea are on the verge of signing Raheem Sterling for £45million (plus £10m in add-ons) from Manchester City. The 27-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Blues and is set to become the club's highest-paid player, earning around £300,000-a-week, football.london understands.
Sterling is expected to become the first senior men's team signing of the Todd Boehly era at Chelsea. The England winger has proven himself in the Premier League for both Liverpool and Manchester City and he comes to the Blues with a wealth of experience, but also – theoretically – in his peak years.
Thomas Tuchel, who held positive talks with Sterling that helped persuade the England international to choose Chelsea, will be hoping the winger will help his side close the gap to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. However, Chelsea need to keep on being active in this summer's transfer window to make that a possibility.

So, with that being said, football.london takes a look at nine other deals – incomings, outgoings and new contracts – Chelsea should turn their attention to once Sterling is confirmed at Stamford Bridge.
Raphinha
Chelsea agreed a £55m (with £10m add-ons) fee with Leeds United for Raphinha last week, but the deal is far from done. The Brazil international prefers a move to Barcelona, but the La Liga club are yet to match Chelsea's bid for the winger.
Numerous reports claim that today (Thursday, July 7) is the deadline for Barca to match Chelsea's offer. Raphinha is eager to wait and even extended the deadline to try and force a move to the Nou Camp. The Brazilian prefers Chelsea to any other Premier League club, though.
Matthijs de Ligt
Chelsea are in desperate need of two new central defenders and De Ligt has been identified as the club's main target for that certain position this summer. The Blues have held talks with Juventus recently over a move for the Netherlands international, but no offer has been made as of yet.
De Ligt is eager to move on from Juve, but Bayern Munich have recently entered the race to sign the centre-back. football.london understands, at this moment in time, De Ligt is keeping his options open, despite reports in Italy suggesting he prefers a move to Bayern.
Nathan Ake
Another central defender wanted by Tuchel is Manchester City's Ake. Chelsea are prepared to bid £30m for the Dutchman, but that is some way off Man City's asking price.
football.london understands Man City would only consider bids in the region of £50m for the former Chelsea defender – and that's only if they are able to sign a replacement. Talks are ongoing with City at the moment to try and lower the asking price.
Borna Sosa
Sosa is very much liked by Chelsea and is seen as an ideal alternative to Ben Chilwell on the left-hand side of defence. Marcos Alonso is expected to leave the Blues (see below) meaning Tuchel will want to add depth to the left-back position.
At the moment, Sosa, 24, has three years remaining on his contract with VfB Stuttgart but the German club would be open to selling should the right offer come their way.
Marcos Alonso
Alonso, who now has less than 12 months remaining on his Chelsea deal, wants to leave the club this summer. The Blues are also willing to let the Spaniard leave Stamford Bridge following the return of Chilwell.
Barcelona appear to be the front-runners to sign Alonso, but nothing is advanced at the time of writing. The La Liga club seem to have other priorities before they switch their attention to the Chelsea left-back.
Hakim Ziyech
Ziyech is open to leaving Chelsea this summer, with AC Milan very interested in a loan move for the Moroccan winger. Things haven't really worked out for the former Ajax man since switching Amsterdam for London in 2020.
Chelsea are open to offloading Ziyech, whether it be a loan deal or a permanent one. Milan have proposed to Chelsea how much they are willing to pay for the loan deal, but nothing is advanced at the moment.
N'Golo Kante
New Chelsea owner Boehly wants to extend Kante's contract at Stamford Bridge. The France international has been linked with a move away this summer, albeit very loosely, with just under a year left on his deal in west London.
Mason Mount
Another contract that Chelsea want to sort out is Mount's. The England international's performances have earned him the right to be one of the top earners at the club. Chelsea are looking to talk with Mount and his representatives in the near future and hopefully agree on terms.
Reece James
James' situation is similar to Mount's. Chelsea are looking to extend the England right-back's contract this summer and reward him with a more attractive wage packet after another tremendous season. Manchester City have shown interest in James, football.london understands, but Chelsea would not even consider selling him.
