Nikola Vucevic comments on Bulls trade rumors: ‘We have enough’

As the Chicago Bulls attempt to push for the Play-In Tournament, the trade deadline looms closer, and they have some very tough decisions to make. Zach LaVine now being sidelined for the season takes one choice off their place, but there are still a bunch of other guys on the roster who could be traded.

Players like DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso seem like obvious trade candidates. DeRozan is in the final year of his contract with no extension in hand, and Caruso’s value is as high as its ever been. But Chicago hasn’t shown a ton of interest in trading either of them.

It seems as though the Bulls are content with keeping their guys around and competing for a playoff spot, which seems odd. However, when Nikola Vucevic was recently asked about trades, he said that he believes Chicago has “enough.”

“Those are things that are out of my control. We feel we have enough,” Vučević said via KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago. “We have a lot of stuff we can do better on the court. We’ve also had some stuff, like injuries, that’s unfortunate to deal with. But I believe we have enough.”

The Bulls are currently in the race for the Play-In Tournament, but is that really where they want to peak? Do they have enough to be anything more than a Play-In team? Can they make it out of the Play-In Tournament? Would they take a game off of any potential first-round opponent?

Obviously, Vucevic needs to stay confident in his team, but from the outside looking in, things look bleak in Chicago.
