NEW DELHI: Indian wildcard entry Niki Poonacha achieved a remarkable victory over top seed Sumit Nagal, advancing to the quarterfinals of the ATP Challenger 100 international tournament in Pune on Thursday.

Poonacha, who recently made his Davis Cup debut for India, defeated Nagal 6-4, 6-3 in a thrilling match that lasted over an hour and nine minutes. This victory marks Poonacha's first-ever quarterfinal appearance at this level.
