When we think of celebrity gardens, it's usually sprawling lawns, elaborate seating areas and endless extravagant plant species. And yet Nigella Lawson's outdoor space proves that a simple colour combination and beloved favourites are just as special.
Although it can be easy to get swept up in recent garden trends and start experimenting with different garden themes, sometimes the simplest designs are the most effective. And that doesn't mean we're not all for making your garden look more expensive or adding endless cottage-garden plants; it just means that sometimes less is more.
Nigella Lawson's garden is proof of that, with its minimal yet charming two-toned colour palette. Sharing her outdoor space on Instagram @nigellalawson, the celebrity chef crowned pink and green as supreme, and we couldn't agree more.

With the popularity of rewilding and cottage garden ideas only increasing, it's no surprise that celebrities are starting to welcome a more unpolished, stripped-back look for their outdoor spaces too.
Nigella? She's happiest when two particular colours are taking centre stage in her garden.
"Pink and green reign supreme: my garden is giving me much joy at the moment. I love gazing out at this view, with the vine in the foreground and the pink burst of crape myrtle just behind," says Nigella.
There are endless alluring plants to liven up a garden, but finding a species with a pop of colour like crape myrtle can be just the thing to give an outdoor space personality and interest.
And pairing them with her very own vines drooping with grapes is a luxurious Nigella touch we couldn't miss.
Aside from the vines and pink florals, Nigella has shared her growth progress with the Olivia rose from David Austin Roses. Even with struggling to water garden plants properly during the many heatwaves this summer, the roses are thriving.
"The weather has not been kind to gardens recently, but despite the lack of rain, my @david_austin_roses Olivia rose has decided to come back to bloom in beautiful abundance, for which I am very grateful," she says in a separate post showing off the pink fluffy blooms.
And what better way to tie all her thriving plants together than outdoor string lights wrapped around trees? Simple yet utterly charming.
