The NI Football League has confirmed the return of the Charity Shield in partnership with White Ribbon NI.
The game between Danske Bank Premiership champions Linfield and Irish Cup winners Crusaders will be played on Saturday August 6.
It is the first time the season curtain raiser, which is back thanks to NIFL's link-up with official charity partner White Ribbon NI, has been played since 2017 when Linfield beat Coleraine 3-1 at the Oval.

Neil Coleman, NIFL Head of Marketing and Communications said: “It is fantastic to see the return of the Charity Shield to kick off the Irish League season and we hope fans will turn out in force not only to enjoy the game but to support the great work of White Ribbon NI.”
Tahnee McCorry of White Ribbon NI added: “The partnership with the NI Football League has been a huge success in getting the core message of the White Ribbon NI pledge engrained within football.
"We’re delighted to be taking this to the next level by bringing back the Charity Shield to reenforce our message within the football community.”
White Ribbon NI has been set up to challenge the attitudes and behaviours which lead violence against women and girls in Northern Ireland.

Tickets for the Charity Shield will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 concessions with tickets on sale via Linfield FC in the coming days.
