Joaquin Niemann recorded a birdie on the first play-off hole to defeat Talor Gooch and clinch victory in LIV Golf Korea in Busan, as Australian Cameron Smith's hopes faded.
After each Niemann and Gooch finished 3-under-par 67 on Sunday and 12-under-par 268 for the tournament, the former sent an approach from 150 yards out to within six feet of the cup on the 18th hole at Asiad Country Club.
The 27-year-old Chilean sank the ensuing birdie putt, notching his first individual win in 2026 after winning five titles in 2025.
