Nicole Kidman got her guns out as she wowed fans posing for a fashion-forward front cover shoot for Perfect Magazine.
Wearing a quirky redhead wig, complete with bangs, the Australian actress put on a edgy display for the magazine’s third edition.
Showing off her ripped physique, highlighting her toned abs, biceps and thighs, the 55-year-old looked half her age in her retro attire.
Actress Nicole wore a micro mini skirt and halter neck top by Diesel in the cover photograph by Zhong Lin as she pouted down the lens with her famous chiselled jawline.
The contemporary culture mag recently crowned Nicole a Perfect Icon award winner in the publication’s annual ceremony.
Perfect said: “At a time when the validity of awards ceremonies is in question, and the red-carpet spectacle of presentations is dominated by the awarding bodies and the presenters, we wanted to shift the focus back on those who we think deserve to be rewarded.”
Styling Nicole in the cover shoot was Robbie Spencer, her hair was done by Evanie Fraustom, make-up by Diane Kendal and her manicure was done by Lisa Bilavarn.
The Hours and Moulin Rouge actress recently made headlines after baring her torso on the cover of Vanity Fair’s February issue – with some fans accusing the US publication of heavily Photoshopping the image.
Some trolls claimed the photoshoot was ‘too raunchy for a woman of Nicole's age and professional stature’ as she wore a pleated low-rise miniskirt.
Nicole, who will next be on screen in the 2023 Aquaman sequel, made reference to her recent skimpy outfit controversy in an interview with Australian director Baz Luhrmann published by Vogue Australia.
She said she had second thoughts about it after initially “begging” to wear it, explaining another outfit had been chosen, but she had insisted on wearing the barely-there attire.
“I was like, ‘No, no, I like this one! Am I allowed to wear that?’” she said. “Katie was like, ‘You're willing to wear that?!’ And I said, ‘Wear it?! I'm begging you to wear it!’”
She explained: “I did walk away thinking, ‘What was I thinking?! That was ridiculous! What were you doing, Nicole?!’ And then I went, ‘Eh, oh well!’
Cause you know that part about me where I’m like, ‘I’m just going to do what I want to do, ultimately,’ and just have some fun.
“And just commit, like really commit when I show up, do it. But there’s got to be some fun.
“And sometimes it’s going to work, and sometimes it isn’t. But I love the idea of being bold and not fitting into a box.”
The full Nicole Kidman shoot and interview features in Perfect Issue Three ‘Perfect Awards’ Autumn/Winter 2022, which goes on newsstands on September 1, theperfectmagazine.com
