Nicolas Raskin's transfer saga to Rangers continues as a new claim emerged on the 'valuation' of the midfielder.
The Light Blues were first keen on the 21-year-old during Gio Van Bronckhorst's tenure at Ibrox and the Dutchman couldn't get a move to materialise in the summer for the Standard Liege man. Rangers did recruit nine new bodies by close of play in August and Michael Beale is looking to bolster those numbers with his only recruit so far coming in the form of Norwich City attacker Todd Cantwell.
Raskin's persistent transfer speculation led to a breakdown with the Belgian side in which the star was once banished from team training by ex-Celtic boss Ronny Deila. The want-away man, however, has piqued Beale's interest and it was believed a medical had been passed and a pre-contract signed.

Now, according to HLN Sport say there’s a disagreement in valuation between Rangers and Standard Liege over the fee. It was reported that Standard were hoping to land around £2.2m for the prize asset but that the Light Blues were looking at the deal closer to less than £1m as they could want Raskin in this window.
Beale said this month: “Another good player [Raskin] one that I remember from the time we played Standard Liege. He missed the first game the night Kemar Roofe scored that amazing goal but he played the second leg.
"He’s a player I’m aware of, a very good player who is out of contract in the summer. One that has attracted a lot of attention. There’s an interest from us but I’m sure there is from a number of clubs."
