Nicolas Pepe drops major social media hint on his Arsenal future amid La Liga transfer proposal

Nicolas Pepe’s future at Arsenal must be concluded at the end of the season. And the winger has revealed a big hint on his intentions ahead of the next campaign.

The winger released an Instagram post where he announced that he was switching agents. This comes amid transfer interest in him from La Liga.

According to Spanish news outlet Superdeporte, Sevilla have made contact with Arsenal over the signing of Pepe. The report goes on to say that the Gunners are prepared to let him leave, and his recent switch of agencies suggests that this could be the case.

Pepe announced his switch to LF360 Sports Management Agency on Friday evening, the night after Arsenal’s disappointing 3-0 humiliation to Spurs. A game in which the winger was an unused substitute.

Pepe’s future is uncertain at the club as according to the Evening Standard, Arsenal will sit down with the winger and his agent at the end of the season to discuss his future. The winger has two years left on his deal and is expected to leave in the summer.

The 27-year-old was in the headlines for the wrong reasons in his last Arsenal appearance as the Ivory Coast international got the ball on the halfway line, a huge chance to take a long-range shot at the empty Leeds' goal - or even just run down the line and waste some time. However, he opted to cut back onto his favoured left foot and was dispossessed in the process, frustrating assistant coach Albert Stuivenburg in the process.

The Dutchman gave Pepe an animated dressing down on the pitch after the full-time whistle and Arteta has admitted that he was left bemused by the talented winger's decision. "When you see that he’s got an empty net in front of him and he’s taking a touch backwards, we cannot really understand", the Spaniard said.

Reasons such as these is suggesting that Pepe’s future at Arsenal is coming to an end. A move will be in both the player’s and the club’s interest, as the £72m switch has not worked the way it had been anticipated.

The Ivorian switching agencies could be the biggest hint yet that he is on his way out of the club. It would be a decision that benefits all parties involved.
