Nicolás Maduro's son has described his first phone conversation with his father following his capture by U.S. forces on February 3rd, saying the former Venezuelan leader wanted to know when Delcy Rodríguez had been sworn in and who had assumed leadership positions in the National Assembly.
Nicolás Maduro Guerra said the call took place on February 5 while he was in the National Assembly during debate over an amnesty law. He had previously heard from Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores, who called him on Jan. 29, as Colombia's Semana reports.
