Nicolas Kuhn to Celtic a 'done deal' as winger gets set for Glasgow

Nicolas Kuhn's move to Celtic is a done deal, according to a report.

Football Scotland states the winger will arrive in Glasgow this week after the Scottish champions agreed a deal with Rapid Vienna.

The German, 24, and his representatives will fly into the UK this week for further talks. It's expected he could arrive as early as tomorrow.

Barring any last-minute hitches, Kuhn will become the club's first piece of transfer business this January.

It's believed the deal is worth a little under £3m. It's anticipated Kuhn will sign a four-year deal.

Brendan Rodgers quickly identified the player as a top target, as he aimed to bolster his side's attack.

With an agreement now in place, Kuhn will complete personal talks and a medical upon his official confirmation.

The one-time Ajax and Bayern Munich player has three goals and seven assists to his name so far this campaign.

It's said Celtic will also look to sign a left-back and a striker in the remaining few weeks of the window.

Meanwhile, Celtic's interest in Caoimhim Kelleher has reportedly forced Liverpool to make alternative transfer plans.

The Premier League giants are believed to be making contingency plans in case they lose the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper to Celtic this summer.

Brendan Rodgers is a long-term admirer of the 25-year-old and views him as an ideal replacement for Joe Hart between the sticks.

A move in the summer is more likely than this month.

However, The Sun reports that Jurgen Klopp is already looking at alternative options for back-up keepers to avoid his side being left short.

Kelleher has only made seven appearances for the Reds and is being kept at the club mainly for cup competitions and Europa League fixtures.

Celtic have previously had an approach rejected by the Merseyside outfit but will look to test the water again this year.
