Nicolas Kuhn 'in Glasgow' to finalise Celtic transfer switch

Nicolas Kuhn has reportedly arrived in Glasgow to complete his transfer move to Celtic.

The Rapid Vienna winger, 24, is ready to finalise his move in the January transfer window.

And representatives Fabian Dingler and Christian Nerlinger have been spotted in Glasgow.

It's claimed Kuhn has also arrived in Scotland to complete his move from the Austrian club but was quickly ushered away to avoid attention.

Now, Kuhn is ready to become Brendan Rodgers' first signing of the window with contract details reportedly already agreed and an official announcement imminent.

Football Scotland reports that Kuhn has alternative offers including from the Serie A but chose a move to Celtic after discussions with Rodgers.

Kuhn - a former Germany youth international - was a key player for Austrian side Rapid and it's expected Celtic will shell out £2.8m in the transfer deal.

The winger had only joined Rapid in the summer of 2022 in a £500,000 move from Bayern Munich.

Brendan Rodgers has been vocal in his admissions over hoping to add to his squad in the January window.

The Celtic boss has been keen to add further quality to his side since the summer window closed.

And he revealed he would have to dip into the market should players be called to the Asian Cup - beginning this month.

Both Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda have been selected for the Japan national team - but Kyogo Furuhashi will remain available for Celtic after missing out.

Oh Hyeon-gyu and Yang Hyun-jun have been called up for South Korea for the tournament.

Rodgers previously stated: "Obviously we have been trying to anticipate the guys over the last few months who are going away to the Asian Cup so clearly if Daizen [Maeda] and Kyogo [Furuhashi] are away then we would have to do something in the market."
