NICOLA Sturgeon has tested positive for Covid.
The First Minister made the announcement on Twitter on Friday evening after meeting with Sinn Fein’s Northern Irish leader Michelle O’Neill earlier today.
She said she was experiencing minor symptoms and will work from home “for the next few days”.
Unfortunately I’ve tested positive for Covid this evening after experiencing mild symptoms. In line with @scotgov guidance, I’ll work from home over next few days, and hopefully be back out and about later next week.

It is thought to be the first time Sturgeon has tested positive for the virus despite previously isolating after coming into close contact with people with the illness.
The First Minister met O'Neill, whose Nationalist party this month came first in the assembly elections in Northern Ireland for the first time in history, just hours before testing positive.
