Nicola Peltz-Beckham took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of husband Brooklyn Beckham cuddling up to her mum, but it left some of her followers confused. The photo showed a grinning Brooklyn with his arm around mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz as she held a phone up to her ear.
Nicola, 27, posted the photo as part of a series of three images, and captioned the post: "I love my mom." Another shot showed a video of mum Claudia standing in the rain using a handbag as a makeshift umbrella.
Model Nicola joked: "How's that working for you, mom?", while Claudia, 67, dressed in a long black leather jacket, replied: "Not really, but it's fine."

But fans were shocked to learn that the elegant blonde featured in the photos was Nicola's mother, with some commenting that they thought the two women were sisters - despite their 40-year age gap.
_khawla369_ commented: "I thought it was your sister! wow", while hellokitty_1984 echoed the thought, writing: "Thought your mom was your sister!!!"
loveinterior2 added: "Mum looks so young!" and dasha.saykina gushed over the former model, who is married to American billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, saying: "Your mum is a beauty icon! Would love to hear her beauty routine and tricks."
Brooklyn, who married Nicola in April at her billionaire family's mansion in Florida, joined the ladies as they spent time together in Paris for Fashion Week. The 23-year-old son of power couple Victoria and David Beckham recently addressed rumours of an alleged feud in his family.
There is said to be tension between Nicola and mother-in-law Victoria after a problem occurred with the actress' wedding dress. Previously addressing the reported feud, Nicola explained how the rift rumours began when she didn't wear a Victoria Beckham-designed wedding dress for her big day. Instead, she opted for a Valentino number despite saying she wanted to wear one of the former Spice Girl's designs.
In the same interview with Variety, Brooklyn, meanwhile, insisted things were fine between him, his wife, and her in-laws: "I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good."
The couple then addressed the rumours again in a joint interview with Grazia USA saying that the speculation around her and Victoria's relationship "hurts her feelings".
"When I read things that say [things like] I was never planning on wearing a [Victoria Beckham] dress or things like that, it does hurt my feelings," the 27-year-old said. "I try not to let it, but it’s just not the truth. It’s just a bit of a bummer when you’re like, ‘Oh, people think that,’ but it’s just not true."
Brooklyn, the eldest son of the famous pair, added in support of his wife: "To be honest, my wife is obviously my first priority and I never want to see her upset ever. When people do say ridiculous things, we just talk about it and we just move on. We have each other’s back 100 percent and we just move on together."
