The family of Nicola Bulley will be able to hold a funeral for the mum-of-two after a coroner confirmed that her body can be released and laid to rest. The 45-year-old had been missing for more than three weeks when her body was found in the River Wyre on Sunday (February 19), around a mile from where she was last seen.
An inquest into Nicola's death was formally opened at the Lancashire Coroner's Court on Wednesday (February 22). At the hearing, senior coroner Dr James Adeley said a full inquest would be held on June 26 at County Hall in Preston, Lancashire Live reports.
A statement from HM Senior Coroner for Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen, Dr James Adeley, read: "An inquest into the death of Nicola Bulley has been opened by HM Senior Coroner for Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.
