Nick Saban always gets to the point. So after his team’s win over LSU on Saturday, he was perfectly blunt with one of his former players who transferred away from Alabama to join its SEC West foe.
“You’d be playing more here than you are there,” Saban told wide receiver Aaron Anderson.
The redshirt freshman spent the 2022 season with the Crimson Tide but only appeared in one game while there and didn’t record a single statistic. As a result, he transferred to join the Tigers but hasn’t seen much action there.
Anderson failed to log a catch in his team’s 42–38 loss to his former team over the weekend. On the season, he has caught 12 passes for 59 yards with no touchdowns.

There are still three games left in LSU’s regular season, but Anderson’s lack of action along with Saban’s tongue-in-cheek message must have left him with a strong impression. He and LSU will face Florida (5–4) next on Saturday.
