Newcastle United battled hard to earn a 0-0 draw with Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. The south coast clash was by no means a memorable spectacle, with the Magpies lucky to walk away with a point.
Eddie Howe was forced into some changes before the game with Matt Targett absent through a dead leg. That gave Sven Botman his full, competitive Newcastle debut as Dan Burn moved back to left-back.
Here are the moments you may have missed from the 0-0 draw between Newcastle and Brighton?

Nick Pope's attention
Nick Pope. If you aren't on Twitter, you probably won't get it.
The Newcastle goalkeeper was one of the top 10 trending Twitter topics worldwide on Friday as a host of major corporations tweeted his name. We've got an explainer for you right here...
Anyway, today's game saw Pope targeted by the travelling away fans, who sang his name repeatedly during the tight affair. Chants of 'England's number one' and 'Nick Pope in the middle of our goal' echoed around the Amex Stadium throughout the day.
Bruno's special guest
Bruno Guimaraes' agent clearly has a soft spot for Newcastle. A few weeks back he was spotted in Jesmond's Brazilian restaurant 'Rio' and often flaunts his trips to Tyneside on his Instagram.
Saturday afternoon was no different as Alexis Malavolta went live on social media to show his view from Brighton's stadium.
Buried in and amongst the Newcastle away end, Malavolta and his friend took in the Premier League clash with 3,000 Geordies.
Burn's message
Dan Burn was always going to be pumped for his Brighton return. Moved out to left-back, he did exceptionally well and potentially rivalled Pope for Man of the Match.
Before the game, Burn was clearly up for it. The defender asked his team-mates to up the intensity in the warm-up, shouting instructions during a pre-game drill.
Newcastle bosses in attendance
Dan Burn wasn't the only former Brighton employee returning this weekend. Dan Ashworth also made the trip down to his old club.
The Newcastle sporting director was in the stands for the Premier League tie, with Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi also making the journey to Brighton to watch their side.
Ashworth and Howe will no doubt get together in the near future as the hunt for attacking transfer targets continues.
Unwated ten-year record broken
Newcastle's performance today wasn't the best. In fact, it was poor Howe's lofty standards in recent times.
However, looking at the bigger picture, Newcastle have started the season with four points from six and are finding losses much harder to come by these days.
It is the first time Newcastle have picked up at least four points from their opening two games since the 2011-12 campaign.
