Nick Knowles has hinted that he may be preparing to get down on one knee to his girlfriend Katie Dadzie in the future.
The DIY SOS presenter, 60, has been trolled over his relationship with Katie, 33, who is almost 30 years his junior but the pair admit that they now just allow the comments to go over their heads.
But while some may criticise their romance, it appears their relationship is going from strength to strength as he reflected on getting engaged in the future - while shutting down speculation Katie may have already said "yes".
Earlier this year, the pair sparked speculation they were engaged after Katie was seen wearing a large ring on her hand, four years after they got together.
Speaking about moving to the next step, Nick said: "We will wait and see, we don't really talk about our relationship that much."
He added to The Sun: "But we will wait and see."
Nick was quick to defend their relationship, admitting that people are now getting to know Katie on a more personal level and that they tend to steer away from social media trolls.
He said: "I'm getting better at ignoring it, I don't read them, initially, I did and that was a big mistake and now I've stopped."
His partner recently admitted that she didn't like Nick "very much" when they first met, explaining that they knew one another through their children.
Katie, who is mum to daughters Savannah, eight, and Alex, five, from a previous relationship, described Nick as having a "Peter Pan complex" and said that he doesn't act his age.
Explaining he's like a "teenage boy" with so much energy, Katie said that she acts older than her age so it works out.
"We're really happy and support each other with kids and our work lives. He's a really lovely person. We have separate homes, which I think works for our relationship," she added.
While Katie and Nick sparked engagement rumours on Valentine's Day after he gifted her an aquamarine diamond ring, she said that it was a commitment ring and that she doesn't know about the future or marriage yet.
She also confirmed that they aren't planning to have any more children.
Katie added: "I'm focused on running my businesses now too and love the ages my kids are. Nick likes to spend time with his youngest son, so it's hard enough to juggle work and childcare without adding to it. We're both happy with our broods."
